Test page 100 Jahre Schweizerische Meteorologische Anstalt
Der Schweizer Wetterdienst wurde 1880 gegründet und feierte entsprechend 1980 sein 100-jähriges Bestehen. Ein Jahr vor dem Jubiläum wird der Name Schweizerische Meteorologische Anstalt, SMA geändert.

Lange Geschichte

Eigentlich beginnt die Geschichte der SMA nicht 1880, sondern 1823. Damals baut die Schweizerische Naturforschende Gesellschaft SNG ein Messnetz mit 12 Stationen auf. Das Netz hatte aber keinen Erfolg und wurde von Privaten und Kantonen weitergeführt. Erst 1863 nahm die SNG mit Hilfe des Bundes 88 Stationen in Betrieb. Ab 1879 werden täglich Wetterprognosen herausgegeben und 1880 beschliesst der Bund die Gründung der Meteorologischen Zentralanstalt, MZA.
